Recently, my co-author on The Transgender Child, Stephanie Brill, reported from the WPATH conference in Oslo, that our book is a recommended title among doctors, therapists, and other gender specialists around the world. It has become a valuable resource worldwide for families and professionals who are learning about how best to care for transgender and gender variant children. The book was also recently reviewed in many publications, including the May issue of Mothering magazine.

In other family news, my daughter Frances, aged 10, is now an elementary school graduate. For those who have followed her life through the years, you'll be amazed at what a sophisticated young lady she has become. She's an enthusiastic reader, swimmer, and recently at camp has learned how to hit a bulls-eye in archery.

Frances and I live in Oakland, CA, with my partner Kellen and our cat Ollie.
